Career

In 2003, Yoko Taro was credited as director of Drakengard.

In 2010, he directed NieR Replicant, part of the NieR release family also issued as NieR Gestalt in the West.

In 2017, he directed NieR:Automata.

From 2019 through 2021, he contributed as scenario writer and director to Final Fantasy XIV's YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance-raid storyline.

By the 2025 Japan Game Awards, he was documented as BUKKORO Co., Ltd.'s Representative Director.
