Yoji Shinkawa is a Japanese game artist and designer. He is art director at Kojima Productions.

Career

Shinkawa joined Konami in 1994 and participated in the Policenauts Private Collection project.

By 2001, he held character-design, mechanical-design, and art-direction responsibilities on Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

In Kojima Productions’ early years, Shinkawa created the studio logo and developed the Ludens character design.

  • Shinkawa described a process of drawing designs on paper with pencil or brush pen, scanning them, and making adjustments in Photoshop.
