Peter Molyneux is an English video game designer and programmer.

Career

In 1984, Molyneux wrote The Entrepreneur, an early business-simulation game.

Bullfrog's Populous was released in 1989 and helped establish the god-game genre.

Molyneux founded Lionhead Studios in 1997 after completing Dungeon Keeper.

Microsoft Game Studios acquired Lionhead Studios in 2006.

At the end of Fable: The Journey's development, Molyneux left Lionhead and Microsoft and created 22cans around the Curiosity project.

Interesting Facts

  • Molyneux received the 2011 BAFTA Fellowship.
  • He has said that The Entrepreneur sold only two copies, joking that both may have been bought by his mother.
