Nobuo Uematsu

Nobuo Uematsu (植松伸夫) is a Japanese composer whose work includes video-game music.
Career
Uematsu joined Square on 1 April 1986.
SMILE PLEASE was established on 1 November 2004, following Uematsu's announced departure from Square Enix.
He composed 'Hollow,' the theme song for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
He composed more than 60 original tracks for Fantasian.
Interesting Facts
- The Final Fantasy VIII theme 'Eyes on Me,' for which Uematsu provided the music, received the 1999 Japan Gold Disc Award's Song of the Year (Western Music), described by his official biography as a first for game music.
- Time included Uematsu as an 'Innovator' in its 2001 Time 100: The Next Wave - Music feature.
