Keiichiro Toyama is a Japanese video-game director and creator associated with Silent Hill, SIREN, and Gravity Rush. He is CEO/Creator and Creative Director at Bokeh Game Studio Inc.

Career

Toyama joined Konami in 1994 as a graphic artist; Silent Hill was his first title as director.

He left Konami in 1999 and joined Sony Computer Entertainment to create the SIREN and Gravity Rush series.

After working as a design leader on Yoake no Mariko, Toyama and Naoko Sato launched the SIREN project.

Toyama founded Bokeh Game Studio with Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura on August 13, 2020.

Interesting Facts

Toyama traces his gaming life to department-store rooftop amusements and the shock of encountering Space Invaders.
Toyama said his family's rice-and-general-goods store in Miyakonojo, and the disappearance of similar local shops, informed his sympathy for vanishing cultures in Slitterhead.
