John Carmack
John Carmack is an American game programmer and virtual-reality engineer who co-founded id Software. He is an AGI research leader and co-founder at Keen Technologies.
Career
Carmack co-founded id Software in 1991.
He joined Oculus as Chief Technology Officer in August 2013.
He publicly announced Keen Technologies, his new AGI company, and its $20 million financing round in August 2022.
He left Meta as a VR adviser in December 2022.
