Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, is a game developer and the creator of Stardew Valley.
Career
Barone solo-developed Stardew Valley over four years before its PC release on February 26, 2016.
By September 2019, Barone stated that he had moved to self-publishing Stardew Valley on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox, and PlayStation Vita in December 2018.
Barone announced ConcernedApe’s Haunted Chocolatier as his next game on October 21, 2021.
In September 2025, Barone wrote that he had been trying to take more of a creative-director role on the Stardew Valley team.
