Daniel Mullins is an indie game developer associated with Daniel Mullins Games and known for Pony Island, The Hex, and Inscryption.

Career

After studying computer science, Mullins entered the games industry as a programmer for Vancouver-based game studios.

Mullins developed the original Pony Island prototype during Ludum Dare 31, then released the expanded commercial game in January 2016.

The Hex was released in October 2018.

Mullins created Sacrifices Must Be Made, a Ludum Dare entry that became the basis for Inscryption.

Daniel Mullins Games announced Pony Island 2: Panda Circus in December 2023, and the title remains pre-release as of the access date.

Interesting Facts

  • Mullins described himself as a primary creator who did nearly everything on Inscryption except composing music, creating sound effects, and creating 3D art from scratch.
