Career

In 1995, Interplay hired Avellone for its Planescape video-game adaptation after hearing his concept for a game in which death was only the beginning.

Avellone left Obsidian Entertainment in 2015.

Avellone joined Republic Games in June 2025 to work on the studio's debut project.
