Benzies joined DMA Design in 1995 and worked on Space Station Silicon Valley, released in 1998.

Benzies was producer of Grand Theft Auto III, the series's first major 3D installment.

Benzies founded Build A Rocket Boy in 2016.

MindsEye launched globally on June 10, 2025, with Benzies credited as game director.

  • The DMA team culture and technical work on Space Station Silicon Valley were later carried into Grand Theft Auto III by several of the same developers, including Benzies.
