Arsenic & Absinthe is a blend of a chill bartender simulation with narrative-driven story. The player takes on the role of "Sylene", a bartender who recently began a new life; making drinks, serving unusual recipes of art, and listening to the stories of working-class customers. A simple life, however, is merely a dream for her as her haunted past returns. The player has to explore the night city and solve the pre-midlife crisis while getting caught in the notorious "Snow White" murder case once more.
