This collection lovingly restores the first six chapters of the legendary Final Fantasy saga, the games that launched one of role-playing's most enduring franchises. It begins with the original tale, in which four young heroes known as the Warriors of Light arrive in a world slipping into darkness. Each carries one of four elemental crystals, governing earth, fire, water, and wind, that have grown dim as sinister Elemental Fiends corrupt the land, sinking civilizations beneath the waves and withering the earth. Guided by an ancient prophecy, the Warriors set out to restore the crystals' light and save the world from ruin. Across the six included adventures, players journey through kingdoms and empires teeming with airships, chocobos, magic, and moogles, meeting new casts of heroes who confront tyrants and world-ending threats. Together these stories trace the origins of the crystals, characters, and grand themes that would define Final Fantasy for generations.
The Final Fantasy: Pixel Remaster series will comprise FINAL FANTASY I through FINAL FANTASY VI, with each game releasing individually.
