When the escape turns deadly, Cayde is struck down by the exiled Awoken prince Uldren Sov, who flees into the wilds with his monstrous allies. Grief-stricken and denied the support of his fellow leaders, the Guardian sets out alone into the Tangled Shore, a barren outlaw wasteland, forging uneasy alliances to hunt down the Barons one by one and pursue the prince responsible. What begins as vengeance soon draws the Guardian toward far darker secrets waiting in the Reef.
